Labastida, Rioja Alavesa. Vino de Finca. Mazuelo 100%
The grapes are harvested by hand at the beginning of November. The grapes come from a vineyard which is over 100 years old. Large oak vats are used for the fermentation. The grape skins are cold macerated for 24 hours. Fermentation is carried out at 25°C for 7 days. A prolonged maceration takes place for 6 days after the fermentation has finished. The wine is aged for 24 months in 50% French oak and 50% American oak barrels. The wine is left to round in the bottle for 12 months in our bottle cellar.
Colour: Medium deep cherry. Clean and very bright.
Aroma: Spectacular aroma of blue and white flowers. Reinette apple and spice. Intense.
Mouth: Sweet with a hint of acidity and Mediterranean herbs. Different.
Service Temperature: 16°C.
